Serving Others
Prayer Bears and Blankets
We recognize that when someone is sick a physical reminder that there are people praying for them can be a big encouragement. Our church provides “prayer bears” for local hospice patients. These teddy bears are blessed by our payer and accompanied by a prayer bracelet made by our congregation.
Family Promise
We have a group of volunteers working with Family Promise of the Capital Region. Family Promise is a relatively new program focused on keeping homeless families together as they move toward finding permanent housing. It is a program that cuts across denominational lines as ??? congregations are involved in hosting guest families.

CoNSERNS-U
We are particularly proud on our ongoing support for our local food pantry. Our congregation collects food and supplies throughout the year, and we have several members who volunteer there regularly. We donate turkeys and pies each Thanksgiving and children’s gifts each Christmas.
